Hey, What’s Up?
So I know I’m not the only one who gets profound insight while showering or driving. This morning in the shower, I came up with the idea of posting something everyday to be thankful for.The challenge will peak on Hanukkah which happens to begin on Christmas this year. Hanukkah is when we celebrate Jesus’ conception and the miracle of the 1 day supply of oil lasting in the temple for 8 days. Therefore, it is celebrated for 8 days. It’s also known as the Festival of Lights because the Light came into the world which we should be most grateful for.
I honestly believe if you’re breathing there should be plenty to be thankful for everyday so there shouldn’t be a shortage of material. Hopefully this will inspire you to join me. If you decided to do your own, tag me #wtpgivethanks16
So, for day #1: I’m thankful that I can change my mind…I was in a funk about a week or two ago but I’m amazed that it is so simple to change perspectives. What you focus on will be enlarged. A lot of times we make it hard because we believe it’s too good to be true, it isn’t to good to be true, it’s just good and true.
If you don’t like where you are, it isn’t always a sign that you need to leave but it may be a sign that your perspective has to change toward the situation so that you are empowered to go through it, not skip it. This too shall pass but it cannot pass, if you skip the lesson. Attached to every trial, tribulation and test is an opportunity for a testimony. Your mindset will determine if the opportunity is seized.
They shall not labour in vain, nor bring forth for trouble; for they are the seed of the blessed of the Lord, and their offspring with them. And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear.- Isaiah 65:23-24 KJV
Seize the opportunity, life is too short not to!
