Yo, Yo, Yo My Peoples
So I forgot to post this…Hope you guys had a great weekend. If you live in the Eastern part of the country, I hope you managed to stay dry. If y’all didn’t know it rained all weekend. Continue to be careful in these streets and stay safe.
I’m so happy! Have you ever just decided that today was gonna be a great day? I woke up and knew it. I been dancing and singing all day, twerking while heating up my food (no one was in the kitchen, btw) but just having fun. I hope you’ve had a great day as well. As far as my week was concerned, I started my first week of work at the restaurant. I really like the atmosphere and I did admin stuff which is always cool. Yesterday, I even got to taste test. It was sooo bomb. We had bourbon and peach glazed pork with green beans. I also got to try the cream of crab. OMG, it so really fresh with huge pieces of crab. I’m lowkey hoping they put me on for all of the taste testings but seriously, it was a blessing because I hadn’t prepared lunch for today so it worked out well.
On the LCA call, we talked about a quote from Confucius that made a huge impact on how I’ve decided to address my life.
Knowledge without practice is useless and practice without knowledge is dangerous. -Confucius
Application is definitely the answer to that. Simply put, get the knowledge and apply it. Another thing I’m learning is to make an impact it doesn’t have to be enormous changes all at once. Honestly, if you take baby steps, the probability is greater that the changes will become habit. For example, if you wanna read more, read 10 pages instead of the whole chapter. Little by little, your efforts will compound.
The greatest barrier to education is conviction prior to investigation. -Unknown
Here’s another amazing quote I heard and it’s basically stating that in order for you to learn you must be open to investigate. If you already have your mind made up, don’t waste your time. Don’t be a know it all. Always be open to learn something new.
This Week’s Assessment: February 3rd to February 9th
I give this week a B. I think really wanna master life. I don’t wanna be perfect but I do want real change because this week I got a kick in the butt in realizing that I’m getting older.
Next Week’s Goals:
Focus on creating a system to get in all the things I wanna do.
