So today is May 2nd and in honor of one of my favorite people whose birthday is today, I wanna do an Outfit of the Day. Today is Doree’s birthday. If you don’t know who Doree is, she’s my little big cousin, we grew up together like sisters and over the years I’ve kept her close and I consider her one of my best friends. For a short while we are the same age (I turn 35 in June.)
On Saturday, we went to karaoke in Chinatown at Wok & Roll to celebrate her life and it got kinda ratchet. The food was pretty good. I ended up getting sushi but everyone else’s food looked pretty good as well. We had a room to ourselves, so excuse the turn up. This is my cousin in the video and me ad libbing in the background. I’m such a hype man!
Here’s what I wore:
Is it me, or can sneakers be justified for almost every occasion? Heels would’ve looked cute and probably would’ve made more sense but I like that little bit of different. The shoes were different especially since it played off of the black and white in the very dressy earrings but what stole the show for me was the top. I was extremely nervous about this because the only thing keeping it together were two strings. I ended up loving the fact that one minute you could be completely covered and with the next abrupt move, look like you only have on a bra and cardigan. What do you think of this? Was it a look? Should I have worn heels instead? Let me know in the comments.
